Information for Patients

The Patient Admission Guide

  • Admission is allowed if prescription / admission advice is available from the admitting consultant / on-duty RMO.
  • Advance charge collection at the time of admission is made in accordance with the defined minimum standards.
  • Admission below minimum threshold requires a written approval from the Administrator on a set format during office hours.
  • The admission receipt contains the advance amount, admission number, date and time of visit and medical record number for follow-up.
  • All payments are submitted to the billing department.
  • If the patient belongs to a panel clientele, they must submit identifica-tion and a company letter.
  • Welfare patients will be required to produce a welfare recommendation in writing and duly authorised. All such reference letters are then submitted to the billing department.
  • The Advance slip is a very important document that must be safeguarded by the patient in order to settle the final bill at the time of discharge.
  • Admission slips are sent to the medical record assistant for issuing medical files to new patients.

  • Address and telephone book
  • Bedroom slippers, nightgown, brush / comb, cosmetics
  • Reading material
  • Spectacles, contact lenses and dentures

Items not to bring when admitted

  • Electrical appliances
  • Pillows and blankets
  • Medicines from home
  • Cash, jewellery or valuables
  • Food or fruits from outside
  • Unnecessary personal items
  • Weapons

Hospital hours

  • The hospital is open 24 hours a day
  • OPD operates from: 0800 to 2200 hrs

General / Semi / Private Ward
Summer: Daily, 15h00 - 17h30 (PST)
Winter: Daily, 15h00 - 17h30 (PST)

Private Ward
Summer: Daily, 1500 - 17h30 (PST)
Winter: Daily, 15h00 - 1730 (PST)

Nursery
No visitor (except mother) is allowed in nursery to reduce the infection to newborn.

Discharge Timings

Inpatient discharge timings are from 09h00 to 17h00.
