The pharmacy strives to provide excellent service, drug utilization management, and drug information through its team of highly trained and dedicated staff. A Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) system is fully integrated with the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS), which allows physicians to send structured electronic requests to the pharmacy for in-patients. The department also has an electronic label printing for the out-patient department.

Physiotherapy is the assessment, treatment and prevention of injuries and other disorders by physical and mechanical means (such as massage, regulated exercise, water, light, heat, and electricity). It enables patients to function at their optimal physical level and often complements other therapies and treatments.

The Department works with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, and to develop, improve or restore motor functions. Physiotherapists at the Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam practice the latest techniques in proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), ante-natal/post-natal exercises and sports medicine. The services are available for inpatients and outpatients.
