Women's Services

The Hospital's comprehensive maternity unit features a ward of 18 beds with one personalised care room, two delivery rooms, a neo-natal special care unit with a ventilator with neo-natal module and a nursery for newly born babies and babies requiring special attention, staffed by specially trained nurses and midwives.

The Clinic offers expecting mothers high quality care through each stage of their pregnancy: ante-natal, delivery and post-natal. Paediatricians manage a full neo-natal intensive care unit catering to both the mother's and child's needs. The gynaecology service operates inpatient and outpatient facilities, a “well woman” service, and provides epidural services for labour pain relief.

Breast and Cervical Screening Programmes

The Hospital applies the latest international screening and early detection techniques for cancer patients including:

  • Pap smear tests (performed annually for first three years). If results are normal, women patients are screened every two to three years;
  • Annual mammograms for women aged 45 and above;
  • Breast lump screening for early detection and treatment.
